KPC Children

Children are welcome to attend KPC Children during the Sunday morning service. Usually there is a call to worship, prayer, a couple of songs and a children’s talk before children are invited to go to their relevant KPC Children class.

Please note: you will need to register your child upon arrival at church before the service.


First Steps

Pre-school 0-4 yr olds.

There will be playtime, Bible story using 'The Beginners Gospel story Bible', age-appropriate activities and singing.

Discover

5-7 yr olds (Junior infants to 1st class)

Here we use 'The Jesus Story Book Bible' Sally Loyd Jones curriculum which incorporates activities and videos that bring to life Bible stories from the Old and New Testament. They'll be learning that every story in the Bible points to Jesus-and what that means for them!

Explore

8-12 yr olds (2nd to 6th class)

This year we are using 'The New City Catechism' curriculum, a modern-day resource aimed at helping children learn the core doctrines of the Christian faith via 52 questions and answers. Over 4 years the plan is to cover 1 year catechism curriculum and 3 years 'Click' The good book company curriculum.

Memory Verse Challenge

This year the memory verse challenge for Discover and Explore is to learn the Ten commandment's Exodus 20 v2-17. Short version for 5-7 yr olds. The children have their own books with verses to learn, their points are recorded for learning and attendance. These points can be traded for rewards throughout the year. Special awards will be given at the end of the year for good attendance and learning all the commandment's

 
 

How parents and congregation can be involved

Pray

Parents can discuss with your child what has been learned each week. The Jesus story book Bible is available to buy in the Christian bookshop. The New city catechism app is available to download free.

Help

We create a safe interactive environment for children to learn about Jesus. If you would like to join the Team of volunteers to help please contact us. Our application process includes Garda vetting and then on-line training. We also avail of courses to help with teaching.
